Adventure Summary - Book 1 Empty Adventure Summary - Book 1

The PC's are one of four groups that the Restov Swordlords have tasks to explore and map the Stolen Lands. The PC's are charted to explore the Greenbelt section of the Stolen Lands. This area is 35 miles east to west, and 60 miles south of Oleg's Trading Post.

If the party finds any banditry, they are to remove it from the area "by sword or rope."

May 7 - Book 1

The party came up with a plan to ambush the bandits when they arrive at the trading post. The plan was executed flawlessly. Oleg was very thankful with the party and offered free room and board for life.

Pythia wakes and the party talks to her. She wants to accompany them instead of staying at the trading post. She wants to try to understand what happened to her and attempt to make sense of the vision she had, though she cannot remember much of it.

When the party first sees Pythia, they notice that her eyes are gray and they don’t appear to have any iris. On closer inspection, her eyes seem to be filed with a grey fox that swirls around. She explains that she sees as if she were standing in a thick fog. Her vision only extends out to 30 feet before all she sees is the fog.

Kesten Garess soon returned with the patrol along with a cleric named Jhod Kavken to try and help Pythia. After looking her over, Jhod admitted that there was nothing he could do for her.

An argument ensued as Keston wants to take Pythia back to Restov with him and will not go back and tell the swordlords he left her like this. Pythia refuses to go so she brokers a deal between Oleg and Kesten. Kesten will send word back to Restov saying the bandits are worse than thought. He will then stay at the trading post and help protect it for Oleg. Pythia also takes a jab at Keston by saying that he can now continue to run from his demons by staying here so he should be happy.

The party rests and then heads to the bandit camp which the location they learned from the captured bandits.

The sneak into the camps perimeter, the ranger the only one who makes a sound. The bandit on watch hears and alerts the group. The party has many good rolls, the DM not so much. They take the camp and wait a few days for more to return and ambush them as well.

It is here that they learn that their leader is holed up is a fort outside their chartered area. They also learn he wears a stag skull on his head and loves to drink alcohol.

They then go back to Oleg’s to rest and sell loot.

As the party explores the greenbelt the encounter Giant spiders, a deranged senile potion making hermit, bear traps, Kobalds who have over eaten and fey pranksters. One of the favorites was coloring the wizards horse white with black spots and making it say moo. Another was the note hung on a tree that said “human season” with a rabbit holding a dagger under it.

These pranksters informed the party of the location to the temple of the Elk that Jhod Kavken asked them to keep an eye out for. They also told them of a hot spring in the area that was to die for. One of the last stops the party discovered before heading back to Oleg’s was a gold mine. It cannot be utilized by the party at this time, but there may be a way to use it in the future.

The party will soon set out to explore the temple of the Elk, which is supposed to be guarded by a large bear, and the battle ground of the Mites and Kobolds to find out what is riling the Kobalds so much.

The party recently received a new charter giving permission to go outside the original charter boundary to kill the stag lord.

May 22, 2011 Skype game

The players went to the Temple of the Elk to confront the “big freakin bear.” The bear was victorious in running the PC’s off. The players licked their wounds and headed for the next two days. They decided to leave the bear alone for now and head west.

In the west, the party found a barbarian scouting party which they parlayed with. The party also found a hot springs that was very relaxing. It also stank to high heaven.

To the south, they found a “kingdom” of two ruined buildings that “belonged” to a Boggard who spoke only a few words of common.

They encountered and defeated the Tatzlwyrms that Oleg wanted to mount and hang at the trading post as well as a nice amount of loot.

They found a few places to cross the rivers. They also found a dead unicorn.

A few trolls ransacked a farmers house before heading south.

Lastly a hunter who lost his leg to the fearsome Tuskgutter promised the party his bow and his +1 bane arrows if they could kill the beast and bring him its head.

June 5 2011

The party was able to kill the bear and tuskgutter. They escorted Father Jhod to the Temple, which he was greatful for.

The Party went through the mite lair and destroyed them all with some trouble with the boss on the tick and the huge centapede. They found the kobolds Missing statue and believe the Kobolds have Svetlana's ring.

They rescued a Kobold named Mikmek, who they freed. He promised the party numerous treasures.

He mentioned that the Shaman brought the statue to the tribe and that if the kobolds do not worship it, they would become cursed and die. He saw it happen so it has to be true!

Mikmek would like to give the statue to the cheif instead, but is afraid of the shaman and his spell.

The party is going with Mikmek to the kobold lair to speak with the cheif to see if they can get the tribe to calm down and stop warring.

The party talked to the Kobold cheifton. They made a deal with him and handed over the statue. He smashed it on the ground and killed the sorcerer.

They left the Kobald lair and traveled south where they found a builing in ruin that was dedicated to the evil goddess Gyronna. they also found a unique undead spirit who haunted a stream and demanded the Stag lords body.

They then got into the Stag Lords ford and fought and won the day.

They established a kingdom on the ruins of the stag lords fort.

I think that does it for the first summary. Let me know if I missed something or have questions. It is possible to finish book one next time but it will be close.
