Characters people mentioned they may want to play
Mike
Enforcer (gun focused) (one shot per round so very easy to run in combat)
(In the process of creating him)
Wizard (metamagic damage spells or necromancer (an oracle or summoner may also be a good necromancer))
Shaman (spontaneous Druid) (I still think that the damage he gets in elemental form will make him a weak character for his current level. Especially if the campaign is tough like the two we are considering.)
Jorge
Monk - tank
aldori swordlord warrior archetype
an archer fighter
gunslinger dipping into alchemist for something id like to try (DONT STEAL JOY BY PLAYING ANOTHER GUN USER!!!)
James
(All will fill tank roll)
Paladin possibly diplomat/ back up healer out of combat
Magus out of combat - several knowledge skills (probably arcana and religion) and maybe some utility spells.
Sorcerer/Dragon Disciple might be a diplomat but otherwise useless out of combat
William
Tiefling rogue
Travis
Rob
Cleric or Oracle

Re: Characters people mentioned they may want to play
Actually I'm thinking one of the following:
Paladin
Magus
Sorcerer/Dragon Disciple
All would fill the 'tank' combat role.
I'm not sure what out of combat roles they could fill. The paladin would probably fill the 'diplomat' role and help out with healing (not in combat).
The magus would have several knowledge skills (probably arcana and religion) and maybe some utility spells. The sorcerer might be a diplomat but otherwise useless out of combat.

Updated James character ideas.
The only one I have put some thought to is the enforcer. Out of combat he will have decent intimidate (why talk to them when you can beat it out of them?), stealth, survival and some knowledge (dungeonering and one other), possibly UMD and craft (bullet).
The necromancer would de-buff and provide support with undead beasties.
Wizard battle field control/damage spells focusing on metamagic and item creation.
Shaman - spells that do stuff, help in battle (not tank material) and back-up healing (out of combat I think).
If no one wants to play a dedicated healer I can create a second character (npc) for this like Po.

Yeah right now i'm fiddling around but im gonna withdraw the gunslinger idea till i can play around with it a little more for the campaign after this one. For now i'm gonna focus on the tanky monk, the fighter archer, a funky rogue build. well 2 sessions to go so lets see how it plays out

Re: Characters people mentioned they may want to play
I wouldnt put to much thought into the campaign after this one as we dont know the basis for it yet. I am leaning to the mystery campaign. This may allow the more skilled characters to shine. Plus there will be new classes to play by then. ;-)

Hey guys Rob here, I plan to make a healer for the campaign, still looking at cleric and oracle for options. Any tips on books to read?

It really depends on what you want to do with the class. You can focus on healing or battle for the cleric. Oracle there is only one (correct me if I am wrong everyone) oracle mystery that grants the oracle the ability to do the all important channel energy. Some Oracles have high skill bonuses.
The best books to use are the core, Advanced Players guide, ultimate combat and ultimate magic.

This lists the classes including all the information found in the above mentioned books combined already. It also mentions the archetypes for the calsses on the class page (via links) so it is real handy.
